TeenTon User Guide
Welcome to TeenTon, a platform built for safe sharing, meaningful connections, and enjoyable interactions. On TeenTon, your identity is yours, your content is yours, and your behaviour shapes your reputation. Before you start posting, it is important to understand how the platform works and the rules that keep everyone safe.
Who Can Use TeenTon
TeenTon is intended for users aged 13 and over. If you are under 13, you must have permission from a parent or guardian. Even if you are over 13, your parent or guardian may wish to help you stay safe online.
Remember, you are responsible for the information you share. TeenTon does not monitor individual accounts, so your safety depends on following the rules and acting responsibly.
Your Identity on TeenTon
When you join, you are assigned a unique User Number. This is your primary identity on the platform. You can also select a nickname, but your User Number is how the system recognises you.
- 🔒 You do not need to provide an email address, phone number, or other personal information.
- 🛡 You will create TWO (2) unique passwords, Master Keys, and a PIN for account security. Keep these safe. If someone else gains access, they could access your account, and TeenTon cannot be held responsible.
- ⚠️ Losing all keys, passwords, or PIN may result in permanent loss of access to your account.
Trust Score – Your Reputation on TeenTon
TeenTon uses a Trust Score (TS) to measure how positively you contribute to the community. Everyone starts with 20 points.
How You Can Earn Points
- 📝 Posting in the Global Timeline: +1 TS per post
- 👍/👎 Liking or disliking posts: +1 TS per interaction
- ❤️ Giving Love to posts: +2 TS per action
- 🔍 Reporting harmful or rule-breaking content correctly: +5 TS
How Points Can Be Lost
- 🔴 Harassment, spam, or breaking rules: -20 TS
- ⚠️ Making fake reports or abusing the system: -5 TS
Redemption – Regaining Visibility
💫 If your Trust Score falls below 0, your profile will enter the Shroud. This means other users cannot see you, though you can still interact with friends in your private network.
To regain visibility:
- Earn at least 10 positive points.
- Follow the rules and engage positively with the community.
- Remember: redemption is about responsible participation—shortcuts or abuse will not work.
Posting and Sharing Media
TeenTon does not host your media. Instead, you share links to videos, music, or images from trusted services such as YouTube, Spotify, Facebook, X, Google, etc.
- 📌 You control your content. If it is removed from the original host, it disappears from TeenTon automatically (the post remains, but the link is broken).
- 🔒 Only your direct connections can see private posts. Public posts appear on the Global Timeline.
- ⚖️ You are fully responsible for what you post. TeenTon does not verify external content and is not liable for anything that occurs as a result.

Privacy and Security
🕊 Your information is private. TeenTon does not track your location or personal data for advertising purposes.
- 🔑 Keep your passwords, Master Keys, and PIN secret.
- ⚠️ Never share your login details. TeenTon cannot recover accounts if keys are lost.
- 🛡 TeenTon provides security tools, but it is your responsibility to use them wisely.
Reporting and Conduct
- 🤝 Always treat others with respect. No bullying, harassment, or harmful content.
- 🔍 Report suspicious or unsafe activity. Correct reports can increase your TS.
- ⚠️ Fake reports or repeated abuse can deduct points (-5 TS) or lead to account suspension.
- 🚫 Accounts may be removed without warning for repeated spam, fake reports, or violations of the Conduct Policy. Being here is a privilege, not a right.
📱 Why Install the TeenTon Web App?
TeenTon uses PWA Technology (Progressive Web App). We deliberately chose not to put TeenTon on the App Stores for three reasons:
Total Privacy (The Sandbox)
Unlike standard apps that demand access to your contacts, precise location, and background activity, the TeenTon Web App runs in a "Sandbox." It is physically impossible for us to snoop on your phone.
Zero Battery Drain
Standard apps track you even when you aren't using them, killing your battery. When you close TeenTon, it turns off completely.
Censorship Resistant
By installing directly from our website, this ensures our connection remains direct and uncensored.
How to Install:
- 🤖 Android: Tap the 'Install TEENTON' link located near the logo on the Login page.
- 🍎 iPhone (iOS): Tap the Share Button 🔤 (square with arrow) → Select "Add to Home Screen" ⊞.
Liability – What TeenTon Is Not Responsible For
- 📌 Content posted by users, including links to external media
- ⚖️ Disputes or interactions between users
- ⚠️ Loss of content, accounts, or access due to mistakes or rule violations
- 🔧 Technical issues or downtime
By using TeenTon, you agree that you are responsible for your actions and content, and that the platform is provided “as-is.” Parents or guardians are responsible for monitoring users under 18.
